Will for Parents of Minor Children

This one's on the house. NOTHING is more important than protecting your kids.

This document ensures your children are raised by the people you choose if the unthinkable happens. Without it, a judge decides. Don’t leave your child's future to chance or an elected official who doesn’t know your family, their culture, traditions, religious practices, holiday celebrations and financial decision making.

What It Does

  • Names guardians and conservators to raise your minor children if you die;

  • Names backup peeps too, just in case;

  • Gives clarity to family and avoids court battles;

  • Gives peace of mind that your children will be raised with your values.

What It Doesn’t Do

  • Avoid probate court; or

  • Promise the person you choose for your chosen guardian or conservator will accept or qualify.

Who Needs to Sign

  • You (and your co-parent, if applicable); and

  • Two adult witnesses (non-family is best practice).

Does It Need to Be Notarized?

No, but it's a good idea if you're doing this without an attorney. A notary adds credibility.

Bottom Line

This is your free pass to the ultimate peace of mind. If you have kids, you need this. It’s free because protecting our children shouldn’t cost a thing to anyone.
